On Sunday 15th October Gladwells Pet & Country Store, Stowmarket, hosted their first ever Fun Dog Show. And what a brilliant day it was!

The weather was rather cold but they were not going to let the cold wind get to them. ‘A La Cart’ catering set up in the store car park and the smell of bacon, sausages and burgers was just what was needed on a chilly morning.

Lots of owners and dogs arrived to enter the show at the recreation ground next door to Gladwells, Stowmarket. With a choice of 10 classes to enter, some classes became completely full quickly. All the dogs behaved impeccably and it was so lovely to see so many different breeds, shapes and sizes in attendance. 

Skinner’s dog food kindly brought their trailer and Mel and Clayton were on hand for feeding advice. Jenny from Bury St Edmunds Veterinary Centre was also on site. The Spin the wheel competition proved to be very popular and an amazing £248 was raised for St Elizabeth Hospice!
